About this tool

Schema.org structured data (written as JSON-LD) tells a search engine explicitly what a page is about — this block of text is a Product with this price, this page is an Article by this author, these are the actual questions and answers on an FAQ page. It's what makes a star rating, a price, or an expandable FAQ show up directly in search results instead of just a plain blue link.

How to use it

  1. Pick the schema type that matches your page: Article, Product, FAQPage, or LocalBusiness.
  2. Fill in the fields relevant to that type — empty fields are simply omitted from the output rather than included as blanks.
  3. Copy the generated <script> tag and paste it anywhere in your page's <head> or <body>.

Examples

An FAQ page

Question: What is JSON-LD? / Answer: A way to embed structured data as JSON.
A FAQPage schema with one Question entity containing that exact text — Google can render this as an expandable FAQ snippet.

Common problems

I added the schema but I don't see a rich result in Google.
Valid markup is necessary but not sufficient — Google decides independently whether to show a rich result, and it can take time to re-crawl the page. Use Google's Rich Results Test to confirm the markup itself validates.
