Privacy Policy

This policy describes what actually happens in the code, not what would be convenient to claim.

Tool input

Tools marked “Runs entirely in your browser” process your input with JavaScript inside your browser tab. The text you paste and the files you choose are never transmitted to us, so we cannot read, store or lose them.

The ZPL tools (ZPL Viewer, ZPL to PDF, ZPL to PNG) are marked “Processed on our server”. For these, the ZPL source is sent over HTTPS to our API, forwarded to a label rendering engine, and the resulting image or PDF is returned to you. The source and the output are held in memory for the duration of the request only. Nothing is written to a database or to disk, and nothing is associated with you.

Accounts

You can use every tool without an account. If accounts are enabled on this deployment and you create one, we store your email address, your display name and, for password sign-in, a hash of your password. We never store the password itself.

Usage statistics

We count how often each tool is used so we know what to improve. A record contains the tool identifier, the interface language, whether the run succeeded and how long it took.

It deliberately contains no input, no file names, no file contents and no identifier that points back to you. If this counter fails, the tool keeps working.

Analytics and advertising

If Google Analytics is enabled on this deployment, it sets cookies and collects the usual page-level data described in Google's own policy. If advertising is enabled, the ad provider may also set cookies to measure and target ads.

Both are optional and controlled by environment variables. When they are switched off, no third-party script is loaded at all.

Feedback

The “Was this tool useful?” widget records the tool, the language and your yes/no answer. If you add a written comment, that text is stored so we can act on it. Please do not paste confidential data into it.

Your rights

If you have an account, you can ask us to export or delete it and everything attached to it. Because tool input is not stored, there is nothing to export or delete on that side. Contact us using the contact form.
