We fetch the target from our server on your behalf — the address you enter isn't stored.

About this tool

DNS is the layer under almost everything else here: a wrong A record points visitors nowhere, a missing MX record bounces every email, a stray TXT record can break SPF. Looking it up needs a real DNS query, not something a browser exposes — this one queries a public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver so it works the same regardless of where it runs.

How to use it

  1. Enter a domain and pick which record types you want (all six are selected by default).
  2. Press Check to query each type independently — a domain with no MX records still shows its A and TXT records instead of failing outright.
  3. Each record shows its TTL; MX records also show priority.

Examples

Checking mail routing

example.com, MX only
Either its mail exchanger records with priority, or an explicit null-MX record meaning the domain accepts no mail at all.

Common problems

A record type shows "no records found" even though I'm sure it exists.
DNS propagation can lag after a recent change, and some record types (CNAME in particular) can't coexist with other records on the same name — check whether the domain actually has a CNAME at the root, which is invalid by the DNS spec.
